Managing Agent Managers

Agents Manager dashboard allows you to list and manage all installed Foglight Agents Managers (FglAMs).

To access the Agent Managers dashboard:

  1. Sign in to Foglight cloud with your Quest account.
  2. From the navigation panel, click Dashboards > Administration > Agents > Agent Managers.

The Agent Manager dashboard displays details for each agent manager which includes status, hostname, IP address, version, OS name, agent summary, and last date of data submission of the existing agents.

You can use this dashboard to download and install new agent manager, and to understand the status of existing agent managers. Following are the options to manage an agent manager:

Disconnected Agent Managers

If the Foglight agent manager is not started or disconnected, all agents that are deployed to that agent manager, will not be collecting data. Use this dashboard to view how many agent managers are disconnected by clicking on the Disconnected Agent Managers link at the top right corner of the dashboard.

Diagnose Problems

The agent manager log can be used to diagnose the agent activity. To view it, click on the icon for the relevant agent under the Latest Log File column.

In certain cases, you may need to create a support bundle that can be used by Quest support to help diagnose problems further. To create it, select the checkbox of the relevant agent manager and click the icon under the Support Bundle column. For more information, refer to Using Foglight Agent Manager.
