Sending an invitation

This page enables you to view the people in your organization and invite new people to join Foglight Cloud.

You can invite new people to join your organization only if you have owner or administrator rights.

People who join your organization have access to the same monitoring data. Their permissions are allocated based on the user role you invite them to (Owner/Admin/User).

Role Permissions
Owner Sign legal agreements.
Add targets for monitoring and configure agents.
View collected performance data.
Administrator Add targets for monitoring and configure agents.
View collected performance data.
User View collected performance data.

This page displays the details such as email address, status, role, date, and the invitation status of all the members of the organization.

To invite a user:

  1. From the left navigation panel, click Administration > Manage Users. Or, on the Welcome dashboard page, in the Invite users and manage notifications sections, click Invite or manage users. The Cloud Users Management page is displayed.
  2. Click the + Invite User icon. A dialog box is displayed.
  3. In the email address field, enter the email address of the user whom you want to invite. If you want to enter multiple email addresses, separate each address with a comma.
  4. From the Define user role dropdown list, select the required user role.
  5. Click Send Invitation.

An acceptance email is sent to the user and the Cloud Users Management page displays the details of this invited user. You can resend or cancel the invite if needed. You can also delete a user by clicking on the 3 dots icon on the required user row.
